Great details beyond the Manhattan Project, Oppenheimer, etc. It adds a thorough global perspective of the development of the bomb.

fascinating

Comments about PBS The Bomb DVD:

This was personal for me. My family lived in Los Alamos, NM from 1947 until 1953. It was still a closed city, not many people knew about it. There was only one road into the town and all vehicles had to stop for inspection and authorization to enter. Residents over the age of 12 were issued photo ID cards and any visitors (including our out-of-state family members) had to be met at the gate by the resident they were planning to visit. Their ID was checked and they had to pass inspection -- even my grandparents!
