Best Climate Change organizing tool yet!

By Marcia

from Rhinebeck, NY

Comments about PBS Journey to Planet Earth: Extreme Realities DVD:

This film makes vividly clear that climate change will affect us all, if not directly, (as in the case of those suffering drought and crop failure in the middle east, flooding in Bangladesh, or droght and wild fire in Russia) then indirectly, because of increased immigration, violence, and financial turmoil,
The time for action -- ont he part of individuals, cities, states, countries -- is now. There are thousands of steps that must be taken to cut carbon output and switch to alternative energy, to reforest clear cuts, to re-educate our children. #1+carbon tax #2 Stop goverment subsidies of coal /oil / gas. #3 incentivise alternatives on every level. After watching this film, you know it must be done --now.

Journey to Planet Earth: Extreme Realiti

By Reverend Toni

from Greenville, SC

Comments about PBS Journey to Planet Earth: Extreme Realities DVD:

I am purchasing this to show my congregation...why has the church been so slow to take up the charge of caring for God's creation? I intend to present earth-keeping as the first commandment we were given. And if this doesn't give a matching picture to the cataclysmic end in scripture...nothing does. Fantastic video.
