Ken Burns chronicles the lives of Theodore, Franklin, and Eleanor Roosevelt, three members of the most prominent and influential family in American politics. It is the first time in a major documentary television series that their individual stories have been interwoven into a single narrative. The soundtrack features 19 moving pieces of music from the film, and also includes excerpts from historic FDR speeches.

Music of the Roosevelts Series

Comments about PBS Ken Burns: The Roosevelts: An Intimate History - Soundtrack CD:

I really enjoyed the Roosevelts: An Intimate History series. When I listen to the soundtrack with my son, I remember all the moments of the series from audio tracks of FDR in "Meditate" and "Fear Itself" to the moving and emotional theme song "Stand by Water." My second favorite is "TR Rag" evoking all the energy of Theodore Roosevelt from the Panama Canal to his Cuba campaign. If they ever have a second soundtrack, it would be nice to have additional audio tracks of Theodore and Eleanor.
