Comments about PBS NATURE: Cuba: The Accidental Eden Blu-ray:
Could it be that the Cuban government has inadvertently played a part in its country's preservation? This documentary should be shown in all schools everywhere. Well documented and photographed, this film could possibly have a happy ending for those naturalists who have been earning $25 per month.
Comments about PBS NATURE: Cuba: The Accidental Eden Blu-ray:
You can say all you want about Cuba, but in relation to its natural beauty and wildlife, it seems to have preserved a lot more than other countries. Sure this may have been because of its lack of investment in tourism due to how badly it was perceived in the country, as a gateway to rich US tourist indulgence, but think about it, if 1950s cuba and its US interests, along with mafia and a very corrupt government looking out for their own interests had stayed at the time, they would have developed every shoreline and ruined any remnant of whatever was left. It would have been a disaster for the wildlife and nature, never to return. As the country changes and moves forward in its economic investments in a changing world, I hope Cuba can save this great environment and the beautiful and colorful wildlife that inhabits that perfect island of beauty. I'm sure it will do so with the interests of the people of Cuba in mind as well.
Comments about PBS NATURE: Cuba: The Accidental Eden Blu-ray:
An excellent well presented documentary on Cuba's submarine fauna and flora. Pity that this ecological surviving and submarine life recovery come at the expenses of the well-being of the cuban people living under an old retrograde castroist dictatorship.
