I was blown away with pride and awe...

By G the Queen

Comments about PBS Soundtrack for a Revolution DVD:

Where do I start?... This documentary moved me in ways I did not know were possible. I was transfixed and was left with a mixture of profound respect and pride. I immediately felt that my boys (age 12) really needed to see it. This documentary will assist me tremendously in an attempt to build their appreciation for their heritage as young black men. Many thanks to Danny Glover, all the interviewees, and the amazing vocal support. OUTSTANDING!!!!

Comments about PBS Soundtrack for a Revolution DVD:

Our Men's Group watched this at my house, and it spurred conversations about the experiences that our patents shared with each of us while growing up. Even though most of us came to Atlanta from different parts of the country, all of our parents shared that common thread, the hope of equality.
This DVD "Soundtrack for a Revolution" is definitely a good family night film to watch and discuss.

Comments about PBS Soundtrack for a Revolution DVD:

I was there, I teach this every year and yet this program made me cry as if I was there all over again. Hearing those great songs offered by contemporary artists helps us understand that the "Dream" lives on! Thank You PBS!

I want a CD of the MUSIC!!!

By Kim

from Denver, CO

Comments about PBS Soundtrack for a Revolution DVD:

I have not purchased this but watched it on PBS. It is an amazing doc. that shows what the people of that generation went through. Beatings, jail, hate, yelling..... But the music helped these people feel strength to continue regardless of the circumstances.
I found myself singing along and lifting my spirits as well and when I looked here to try to purchase a CD of the music I found none.
HEY PBS make a CD of the music I would buy it and I bet others would too.
