Excellent story of freedom vs.communism!

I saw the story on PBS TV and it brought back so many memories for me. I was stationed at Templehof Airport,West Berlin,Germany with the 6912 Security Squadron,U.S.Air Force from 1976-1978. As JFK once said "When we stand up for freedom in Berlin,we are standing up for it in New York,Paris,London and every place in the world where there are freedom loving people"! I couldn't agree more with him. I saw the Russians up close when we went into East Berlin for an "authorized" visit and let me tell you-they should NEVER be trusted!! I will always be proud and honored to have been one of the "Guardians of the Gate"!!
