These films were so well done and capture the essence and atmosphere of the time. As usual Suchet was the perfect Poirot. My only disappointment was the story changes made in Appointment with Death -- quite a stretch from the original story.

Lacks the "fun" of the first series.
David Suchet is always outstanding, but without the supporting cast, eg. Hasting and Ms. Lemon it lacks the fun that is found in the first shows.

David Suchet is always outstanding, but without the supporting cast, eg. Hasting and Ms. Lemon it lacks the fun that is found in the first shows.
The new shows also takes on so much more of the "blood and guts" of so much of today's mysteries that it's taken away so much of the fun of watching it.

The videos with David Suchet are fantastic. We have viewed the videos several times. Each time we obtain a greater appreciation for the story and the actors. David Suchet'S facial expressions are worth a thousand words. We are waiting for the back orderd 1-4 series of the Poirot videos.
