I bought the whole series because PBS stopped airing it on a regular basis and I love the verbal tirades,the use of the English language, and the timeless comedy.I wish the acting crew could have continued giving us their great shows!

I loved this series! It deals with the issues of growing old in a society that no longer values the wisdom of the elders. Diana & Tom certainly do not turn their faces to the wall and wait for death! Personally, I do not fear death or dying but I do fear living poorly and being B.O.D. (Better Off Dead) which unfortunately happens to many in the Western culture because we don't accept death as a part of life.

We lived in England in the 90's and saw Waiting for God when it first came out. We thought it was hysterically funny then and enjoyed the honest humor about growing old, as well as the straightforward portrayal of an unrepentent atheist. Watching it again now on DVD, it is every bit as good as we remembered it.

Over the years we have much enjoyed watching "Waiting For God" on our local PBS channel. So we have bought the series and can't wait to share it with our friends in the retirement community where we live.

MY PARENTS LIVE WITH US AND ARE 81 & 82. WE HAVE MOVIE NIGHT EVERY NIGHT AND WE ARE GLAD THEY REQUESTED THE WAITING ON GOD SERIES!
