I am always amazed by cooking shows both from a historical and marketing perspective. Today we have the Food Network which essentially is Home Economics merged with popular entertainment. This DVD brings you back to one of the prime sources of French Cooking complete with all of the authentic trappings of yesteryear. Highly recommended.

complicated masterpieces. I love to cook but never learned the basics; as my mother a good cook used all prepared ingredients. Wow this is fantastic, she explains the how and why. The first show, the potato show grabed my devotion. Four simple inexspensive wonderful recipes. Bravo. I now have the first cookbook 'mastering the art of french cooking vol I' and plan on buying copies for my like minded friends. Can not recommend this enough. This book is a wonderful series of cooking classes and I can cook several meals I tried now without the recipe, what could be better.
