I love everything about this series The story is captivating, the characters are authentic, and the theme music transports one right into the setting. We have bought the first and second series and hope that the third series will be available as soon as possible.

This story remembers the old days when life was slower paced. But it also remembers the most important things in our lives are the relationships we have with our families and those who live in our towns and hamlets. This story is about caring for one another, honesty, hard work, play, laughing and crying.
The story is written from the viewpoint of a 19 year old girl who grew up in the hamlet of Larkrise and goes to work in the post office/village forge of the town of Candeleford 7 miles away.
The story is precious and endearing. It shows the value of friendship and unfortunatly shows what we have lost in our modern culture.
