TO ME THIS IS the best BRITISH comedy ever to come out of England. Fantastic satire , Gut busting silly I love Benny Hill , but Basil THE RAT is THE BEST.

They only made 12 episodes of this program, but I find it to be the funniest of the British comedies that I have seen, and I have seen most of those comedies that have played on PBS.
