A major road accident is nothing more than a split second of panic and confusion; an act of terrible violence that both changes and destroys lives, with a cause and effect quality that can ripple out across the entire world. Beyond the crumpled cars and emergency services are the invisible dramas and when DI John Tolin begins his investigation he finds himself drawn into many different and dangerous worlds.

Tonight I watched the first installment of COLLISION. I could not leave my chair. Not since THE WIRE have I been so enthralled by a television series. Intersecting lives, threads beginning to slowly untangle will captivate you, and best of all the cast is simply amazing.

DONT BUY IT

Comments about PBS Masterpiece: Collision DVD (U.K. Edition):

You sell it as having closed captions, and they do not work!! This is true for many BBC videos of TV shows! Why don't YOU try them on your TV-it is so disappointing when you are hearing impaired to get one of these.
Bad situation, PBS.

Meh

Comments about PBS Masterpiece: Collision DVD (U.K. Edition):

It was just ok. To be honest, I bought this to watch a particular actor, and he was in it a lot less than I've seen. I think this program was edited for American audiences, which was somewhat disappointing. Seemed to drag on forever at one point.

It was remade but this version is better

Comments about PBS Masterpiece: Collision DVD (U.K. Edition):

It is the story that the American movie "Crash" was based on. I prefer this version of the story to that one. It is much more mysterious and does not treat the viewer as dumb as the big budget movie does.

ALL IS NOT AS IT APPEARS

Comments about PBS Masterpiece: Collision DVD (U.K. Edition):

Here's an incident that, on face value, is nothing more than a chain reaction auto calamity. But as the investigation proceeds we begin to see that there are multiple stories converging on this British highway, and they are not all pleasant. What has happened is a mystery, but the mist is slowly cleared by the investigative couple with a mystery of their own. It's a great story within a story within a story.......
