Single DVD

A series of intimate, 10-minute portraits, explores the lives and beliefs of six young people whose usual places of worship are beautiful and historic mosques across the Muslim world. The films accompany them as they leave their homes and families, follow them as they travel to Saudi Arabia, and share their responses to the culmination of their journey of a lifetime -- the pilgrimage to Mecca, where the prophet Muhammad was born.

Seeing beautiful mosques and was told about the history of these buildings showing that there are much more to the Muslim world than what the main news media wants the people to believe.

Incomplete

Comments about PBS Seven Wonders of the Muslim World DVD:

I was very much interested in watching this DVD but when I watched it I was shocked to learn that there was no mention of the Mosque of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in the whole documentary, not even once. The Mosque of the Prophet is in the city of Medina and it is the 2nd sacred placed in the Muslim world. Without it this documentary is incomplete and I'll not recommend it to anyone especially to non-Muslims. I don't understand how it can be missed. The only reason I can think of, it is taken out of deliberately. If you ask even Muslim kids about the sacred places of Islam, they will at least say Mecca and Madina and it was mot mentioned here? Amazing. Now I'm doubtful about the truthfulness of all the historic documentaries made and shown by PBS.
