About a year ago, in the midst of the financial meltdown and other worldwide crises, I happened to tune in to the PBS presentation of this story featuring the signature piece, "Stand by Me". The producer traveled around the world, recording the audio and video of humble musicians in many countries playing a wide assortment of instruments. By mixing all those diverse tracks he synthesized an uplifting ensemble collaboration. It brightened a gray day, bringing a smile to my lips and a tear to my eye. -- This product combination brings you nine additional selections on the CD plus seven video cuts.

Oh my God, this is the worst remake of 'Stand by Me'. The musicians on this CD need to learn proper pitch and tune their saxaphone which sounds like a high pitched kazoo. Save your money and pass on this amateur bunch of wanna-be musicians. I gave it one star because it was impossible to give it zero stars.

Would it be possible to add a a John Denver and/ or a Nitty Gritty Dirt Band music selection to the Play For Change, play list. Back in the day, both of these two Colorado based groups got international attention: John Denver did a tour in China and the Dirt Band in a Russia tour. Both tours were a first, I bevieve,of there kind, at the time and very successful.

I'd seen the "Stand by Me" video and kept playing it repeatedly; now that I have both the CD and the DVD, I can listen (and watch) anytime I want. Love it & recommend it. Peace through music...yes!

This package, DVD and CD, is the best investment I ever made. It is so relevant to the world situation today as the day it was inspired. I play the DVD nearly each day before I get started address those mundane things. It really lifts me up and I recommend it to heard by all those bigots and war mongers of the world.
