Gave it as a gift to my son-in-law who loves wolves and national parks.He was thrilled. We are learning so much about the eco system and the part that animals play. Before we kill them off lets learn more!!!

I purchased this particular nature documentary, because i had seen it on PBS and thought it a perfect way to make my young nephew and niece, who are basically urban/suburban children, more aware of the beauty of nature along with some of its realities. There is also something of an idea of hope for the most downtrodden when the omega wolf eventually becomes an alpha wolf.

After seeing this film I went to Yellowstone. God's country. There are many DVDs on wolves but this one on the Druid pack is just beautiful. For purists it may be a bit sensitive re the Druid pack vs Slouch Creek, however it is made entertaining yet has the science to back it up. Just enjoying the scenery, behaviors and knowledge that there is much we do not know about many creatures' behaviors even after years of research. Amazing filming. Interesting note is the Druids, as a pack, are no longer in Lamar and Hayden Valley. Times have changed but the Druid clan lives on through the tracking of the animals since 1995. One of my favorite PBS films and I own many.
