Good introduction to Fractals
The first three quarters of this video are an excellent introduction to the topic of fractals and make the topic interesting and it also shows many of the uses of fractal mathematics.

The first three quarters of this video are an excellent introduction to the topic of fractals and make the topic interesting and it also shows many of the uses of fractal mathematics.
The last fiteen minutes are based on calculating the CO2 uptake and oxygen output of a forest but it is a monocultural forest and it is not made clear whether this applies to any type of forest.

I was disappointed in it's content. I expected a more scientific presentation on the dynamics of fractals including mathematical and graphical properties. Instead the DVD somewhat hinted towards the applications aspect.

I would hope there will be a second edition, with more research projects using fractals. I obviously is a paradigm in technology.

Really like the easy to follow presentation, but it also lends itself to just showing clips in a high school math classroom.

This is a simplified discussion of Fractals. I already knew all of this and had hoped for more detailed discussion.

Beautifully done movie. The many pictures of fractals are interesting in themselves. Math is not my interest but this was interesting all the way through. Explanation of sciences was good and very easy to comprehend.A layman's way to new understandings.Good for technical and non technical audiences.
