This series is the best of the best. I love the female plot with Audrey to get the manor back and in the end slowly she realizes it is more than the manor, but Richard she relly wants.....the feelings are sweet and a quiet love that is not wanting to reveal to him her feelings ....she finds ways to talk herself intobeing coy and direct while plotting her feelings. I laughed through most of the series, loving every minute...............no sexual escapades of who sleeping with who..........just a well written script with the right actor's...........can't imagine anybody playing the part than every character that is in this series.......you won't regret getting involved in their lives, and you will want to go back and back again and again to visit them, view the scenery and visit the local store You also get a taste of English country village living. It reminds me of he old New England town that I grew up in dear old MAssachusets..you will enjoy this if you are like so many of us that are fans

A delightful comedy ........... so full of simple laughter and filled with great characters, build us the foundation for becomming very good friends with all of them. I watch this many times a year to bring me back to New England where I was born and raised . Very simply, it runs true to a small village where everybody knows the where abouts of friend's and family, as well as the gossip........a great comedy series that will last forever in our hearts.

All PBS DVD products must have captions for the hearing impaired. Think how many of us oldsters are hearing impaired.
