Two compelling episodes of Nature capture extraordinary true stories of survival in the wild. In The Cheetah Orphans, follow wildlife filmmaker Simon King assumes the parenting responsibilities for two cheetah cubs after a lion kills their mother. In The Desert Lions, join Dr. Philip (Flip) Stander as he pits himself against the forbidding Namib Desert to study rarely seen lions that are making a comeback after being wiped out twenty years ago.

Comments about PBS Nature: Cheetahs and Lions DVD:

The cats, eagles and wolves are my favorite wild animals shows to watch. I have enjoyed all the movies that I have ordered at this time and have shared them with friends. I am hoping to get the grandchildren over to watch them. I believe in the freedom and protection that these beautiful animals have. I also just ordered 4 more movies. I usually knit while watching movies but when the nature movies come on PBS the knitting gets put in the basket until the movie is over. I appreciate all the effort the photographers go through to film these beautiful creaturs. I envy them for being able to see all this in person. If I had one wish to make and I knew it would come true it would be to be able to go to the Outback in Australia, or to Africa on a safari. Keep up the good work.
