This video hit a nerve, as I can not begin to understand how something so horrible took Crete and the people into the sea. Sandy showed his emotions as to how he felt, and I could understand it as well. When you do research some times, you find things you wished you hadn't, and it does become all to real for you, as I have done. It can over come a person sometimes, and you have to let go. Great work on this video!

I too have been following the work of scientists who try to explain what happened to the ancient Minoan civilization. I first felll in love with their art when I saw pictures in Scientific American many years ago and later in Atens in the museum; then the same civilaization was uncovered and documented on Santorini (Thera). There was a link sugested between the gigantic volcanic eruption that destroyed Thera and the decline of Crete. But the ash could not fully explain the destruction. Now we see that huge, multiple tzunamies followed the eruption to heights that destroyed the cities on the most important coast. The Myceneans then finisherd off this extraordinary culture. I was close to tears as the scientists expressed what they surely felt for the people living through and dying in these catastrophes. I am adding this DVD to my collection of work on the Minoans.

The topic of this DVD captivated me just from seeing the promo. I couldn't wait to see the whole show.

I hadn't seen anything on this topic that was new or recent in the last 20 years or so. I was very, very glad to have this.

The great thing is that you can stop and write things down if they interest you, or you can go back to portions of the story in order to make sure you got the facts right.

I certainly recommend this fine, fine production.
