I am ashamed of knowing nothing about my country. I am from Ethiopia, I am really sad to know the suffer of my country's girls and women. The old tradition and lack of education made this suffering to happen. I will share the issue in this DVD with many people and try my best to fight it.

This documentary is proof of the instinct in all of us to
make a better world. It shows how the dedication of
doctors in Ethiopia transform the lives of women who
suffer from fistulas. A wonderful video for inspiring
all of us to contribute to such worthy causes.

A Walk to Beautiful offered me a perspective I was vaguely aware of, and now understand so much more clearly. The film moved me to take action, and to spread the word in my classroom and my community, to those who will listen. Through three stunning portraits/biographies, the film affirms the need to address the health issues...especially those which are preventable... of women and young girls. Women's health should be the priority for all global summits. I recommend this NOVA production whole heartedly...it is beautifully, honestly and sincerely delivered. After you view it, I think you will want to pay your rent to the planet, as a healthy human being, by finding some means to join the effort which will eradicate fistula.
