Holding on and letting go....

This was a real "eye-opener" for me. for the last 2 1/2 years, I have been my mother's full time caregiver, as she is in the last stage of Alzheimer's.
My heart broke for these 5 families, and what they were going through. I kept wiping my tears and thinking, "I'm so sorry...I remember how hard it was to go through that..." Half way through the video, I realized that by thinking that, I was already past where they were...what they were dealing with. It made me see how far we had come in our own journey. The five stories are all different, the emotions are universal. Both the filming and the music were excellent. They caught the beauty and peace of the parents and the frustration of the children. Caring for an aging parent is an ongoing tug of war between holding on to every last moment together...and letting go. This video captured that beautifully.
