Comments about PBS FRONTLINE: Sick Around the World DVD:
I bought this for my Healthcare Reimbursement class, to show students what healthcare around the world is like. This opens their eyes to be advocates and to form opinions about the current healthcare reform.
Comments about PBS FRONTLINE: Sick Around the World DVD:
very exciting. can not wait to teach it in my new med anthropology course.
Comments about PBS FRONTLINE: Sick Around the World DVD:
Five different countries with five different health care systems. All cost half as much to run as the US's system and offer as good as or even better care and no individual has medical debt or bankruptcy problems as we do here. Good unbiased coverage shows the pros and cons of each system. I think all of the politicians in DC should watch this to get some ideas because they evidently are at a loss to implement a system that allows me to have decent medical care without constantly carrying a large medical debt.
Comments about PBS FRONTLINE: Sick Around the World DVD:
He was right. I am fairly conservative, and quite concerned about the medical system in the United States. These other countries have something we need to look into. Very well done..not pro anything..just showing what else is out there. Full of great ideas.
Comments about PBS FRONTLINE: Sick Around the World DVD:
I viewed this DVD with two different groups. All persons agreed that the U.S. system must change, the sooner the better. Most of the viewers said that private for profit insurance companies must be discontinued. All agreed that all people should have medical care, regardless if they are employed. The comparisons of the variety of systems from five countries by T.R. Reid is very well done.
