The State of Arizona captures the explosive emotions and complex realities behind Arizona's headline-grabbing struggle with illegal immigration. From ground zero of the nation's immigration debate, the film follows Arizona's controversial "show me your papers" law through the stories of Arizonans on all sides of this divisive issue - from those who wrote it, to those who supported it, to those who dreaded its wrath.

Comments about PBS The State of Arizona DVD:

This film has provided clarification and further interest to the whole situation of The Arizona Immigration laws. I recommend it to everyone, it was really interesting to see the real life situations that are faced, when trying to make it in America legally or illegally. A clarification is provided on both sides of the issue, in this film. I enjoyed the entire documentary.

Comments about PBS The State of Arizona DVD:

This film captured the terror that is being waged on honest and hardworking families in America, for no other reason than that they weren't born on this side of the border. It also shows how people coming together can mitigate the effects of people who see a problem but choose the wrong solution. Using our democratic system, they push for repeal of bad laws and recall of a legislator who initiated the wrong solution. It was amazing in its emotional connection for both the Latino families and those who truly believe the American Democratic system is still working and will continue as long as people use it!
