Hattie Morahan (The Golden Compass) plays levelheaded Elinor Dashwood and Charity Wakefield (Jane Eyre) is her impulsive sister Marianne. Though poor, they attract a trio of very promising gentlemen. Will the sisters learn that sense must mix with sensibility if they are to find personal happiness in a society where status and money govern the rules of love? Adapted by Andrew Davies comes a new adaptation of Jane Austen's classic novel.

very well done and engaging

the three stars refers only to the annoyance of having it broken into its original sections. When bought as a DVD for home use, I would rather have the whole story in one piece....Read complete review

Comments about PBS Masterpiece: Sense and Sensibility 2PK DVD (Bonus Miss Austen Regrets):

My wife and I are big time Anglophiles and this was the most well-done version of S&S we've seen--on par with A&E's Pride and Prejudice with even better visuals than P&P. You'll want to watch multiple times--we did! Highly recommended.
