In 1918, when New York City hired its first scientifically trained medical examiner Charles Norris. Great alternative to the dry, boring, montone power point introductions to forensic science.

Comments about PBS American Experience: The Poisoner's Handbook DVD:

Thought this was very interesting and entertaining. The format is very good with lots of good information on how our detective services have developed over time and the battle they fought to get there. Not clinical in its presentation, but done with a historically costumed presentation.
