Outwardly, a sword would depict violence and destruction. On the contrary look deeper in the Heart of the sword and you will find the inner soul. It took tremendous preparation in the materials, temperature, and caring for it like a child over many days and sleepless nights.
I see patience, compassion, empathy, integrity, devotion, intelligence, dignity,honor,endurance, dedication and all the things man should be striving for in its; life. The making of the sword depicts the soul of samurai that still lives on today in the way the Japanese society conduct themselves as they did during the earthquake - returning millions of dollars found in the rubble, seniors citizens volunteering to work in the nuclear plants, and many more actions gone unnoticed because Japanese in general find it embarrassing to BRAG about any good deed they do.
Well done - at last the Japanese is depicted for who they really are.
