Comments about PBS Jackie Robinson Story DVD:

having seen this and "42"... I am astounded that the reviewer of "42" referred to this version of Jackie Robinson's story in a more than negative light...
this may be an over simplified version for sure..but this story includes Jackie's brother Mac
who was also a collage grad and unknown to most..was at the 36 Olympics in Germany...Mac was a world class athlete...who had beaten Owen's prior to the 36 Olympics on a number of occasions...what I loved about this story is the fact that not only is it about Jackie, but also references Mac...a true reflection of the times...if ya wanna see some terrific historical Olympic footage .. in a movie format...watch Charlie Chan at the Olympics...Also if you can find a copy...."The Court Marshal of Jackie Robinson"...yipes...The world sure doesn't change much...well at least the white world....
