Bill Moyer's friendly, yet always incisive, inquiries, coupled with the willingness of men to revisit the horrors and triumphs of combat, afforded me an opportunity to understand, but most importantly appreciate, my father's war experience in Collins' VII Corps.

His strength, courage, humor and patience made him
a brave soldier and the perfect father. The man, the Journal - doesn't get any better.
