I was delighted to come across this DVD as a companion to the book "Beeton's Book of Household Management, edited by Mrs. Isabella Beeton, London 1861". The DVD is very well done and can stand alone as an insight into life in England in the 1860's. I consider it money well spent. This DVD is going up on the book shelf in pride of place right next to her book.

I was captivated by the story of this couple who seemed so pleasant and normal on the surface but had a tragic life together. It made me want to know more about them.
