Comments about PBS The Best Of Nature: 25 Years Silver Anniversary Collection DVD:

I was very disapointed in this show "Best of Nature". It gave scant attention to the Late George Page, He was responsible for the creation of this show he narrated over 200 episodes. It showed one clip from kingdom of the ice bear, One of the greatest shows ever about the nature of the arctic. It showed one clip from the "Nature of Sex" narrated by liev schieber, when in fact it was narrated by George Page.I will give it 4 stars because of this. Nature is still great, I wish some of the older episodes were available in dvd format

Comments about PBS The Best Of Nature: 25 Years Silver Anniversary Collection DVD:

Yes, there was some great photography, but the intimate scenes of creatures killing one another was both boring and unpleasant. I was very disappointed with the the collection. I bought the DVD to watch with my grandson and I know the images will be upsetting to him, they were to me. As a fan of your NATURE program I know you have some much more interesting footage...

A Must-Have For Everyone!

Comments about PBS The Best Of Nature: 25 Years Silver Anniversary Collection DVD:

This video features some incredible footage from an already extraordinary show. We as humans can learn from our animal teachers and the behavior of the animals in this special collection is educational to say the least. Have your box of tissues handy for the segment about Shirley, the circus elephant of thirty years who is released into a sanctuary with another elephant not seen by her in thirty years, as her former keeper bids her a tearful goodbye and a joyful good wish. Have the extra tissues handy when two research chimpanzees, now living free in a sanctuary, are reunited with their loving keeper whom they have not seen in eighteen years. We humans absolutely are connected to the animal kingdom and animals have so much more depth and intelligence than we are aware of.
This video is a must have for any animal lover's collection and is for the entire family. Very interesting how the selection process was narrowed down from so much quality video.
