The Warplane has evolved over nearly a century to become what it is today. This is the story of how - through life-or-death necessity, invention, ingenuity and sheer hard work -that technology evolved. WARPLANE is not a history of every plane but rather a look at the major stepping stones that changed military aviation.

The Best Aviation Video

By Orville and Wilbur

from Kill Devil Hills NC

Comments about PBS Warplane DVD:

Awesome early Aviation information. Video goes into the details of how things work. Details of the Wrights and WWI that taught me a lot even though I am already an aviation buff. For instance, who knew the whole engine rotated on early aircraft? Mind blowing! Lot of coverage of early radar and later stealth.

Comments about PBS Warplane DVD:

One of the documentaries ever. Everything you wanted
to know about the history of manned flight. Stacy Keach does a superb job as narrator. I watch it over and over again.
