The Alaska Peninsula is a cloud-cloaked landscape where bears outnumber people and the sockeye salmon run is the largest in the world. In KATMAI: ALASKA'S WILD PENINSULA filmmaker John Grabowska reveals a remote wilderness of towering volcanoes, vast tundra and the greatest concentration of brown bears on earth, and explores how climate change is impacting this magnificent land.

Comments about PBS Katmai: Alaska's Wild Peninsula DVD:

This is not a film, it is poetry, and filmmaker John Grabowska is a poet. I may never make it to Katmai and Aniakchak but he has revealed them to me in a way I could never experience them otherwise.

Comments about PBS Katmai: Alaska's Wild Peninsula DVD:

Beautifully done. Scenes that one will never see. Would be worth the airplane ride to see in person.
