Comments about PBS Jean-Michel Cousteau: Ocean Adventures: Voyage to Kure Parts 1 & 2 DVD:

Having once lived in the Hawaiian Islands, I really appreciate this special documentary by Jean-Michel Cousteau. This two part series is incredible, and gives the viewer a glimpse of how the ocean of modern Hawaii is today and how it once was during ancient times by comparing it to remote, less spoiled areas of the Hawaiian Island chain. The DVD dramatically illustrates the point that even in isolated, pristine remote Hawaiian waters, global pollution can drift into its area causing harm to life both in the ocean and on land.

This documentary is a wonderful adventure and exploration of the region of Hawaii's most beautiful and unspoiled living coral reef and its amazing biodiversity. Jean-Michel and his team did an outstanding performance in filming this new PBS series of Cousteau specials. The Cousteau team has brought forward a refreshing, exciting new look to the underwater exploration programs of the past -- bringing global and environmental issues and concerns of the New Millennium to the forefront.
