Truman is an true life example that you, too, can be President. All of what he accomplished was done without the support of his wife who perhaps was the most ungracious First Lady of modern times. I really enjoyed this documentary.

What a powerful, engrossing story of Harry Truman's rise to the Presidency! This documentary did such a great job of fleshing out Truman the man, who was self-effacing but highly principled. It was fascinating to watch him grow in confidence and in his ability to make the toughest decisions any human being will ever have to make. Through it all, his devotion to Bess, his wife, was simply extraordinary. I highly recommend this to history buffs and to those who love to learn life lessons from other's trials and tribulations.

I CAN REMEMBER TRUMAN WHEN I WAS IN GRADE SCHOOL. THE THINGS THAT I LEARN FROM VIEWING IT MEANT MUCH TO ME.IT WAS VERY EDUCATIONAL.TRUMAN WAS TO A GREAT PRESIDENT.THANK GOD FOR TRUMAN.

I had a pretty good idea about the major arcs of Truman's presidency, but I didn't have a good grasp on how unlikely it was in the first place. This documentary does a great job of highlighting the strange ascent of this Everyman into a position that few could have handled. Highly enjoyable, well-documented and definitely worth your time.
