What a wonderful movie and book adaptation. My only distress is that the soundtrack has not been released. I would love to purchase it and I think others would as well!

I recommend watching the first disc, then in the added features that come up at the beginning of the second disc, watch the "deleted scenes". After you watch the second disc, return to the added features (they pop up again
after the credits) and watch the interview. You can really appreciate the wonderful acting when you see Richard Armitage as himself. I was impressed with his acting before this, but after the interview I was amazed at how different he was. He reminded me of Harry Potter. Try to get that from his Mr Thornton!

There were some gaps that left me a little "huh?". I bought the book and found that it knit together these gaps and gave more insight to the characters than was possible in the series. But then the book had some of its own "huh?" parts.

Watch the DVDs first, then read the book. Really, not since that excellent Pride and Predjudice have I been so satisfied. Get it and enjoy.

I passed this up before because I thought it was the Civil War N&S. This mini series is just as thrilling and satisfying on my tenth (and counting) as on my first viewing. I wish I had known about this long ago!
