Excellent version of the sory

I use this with my 8th grade American Studies students. It opens with a powerful scene of Brown traveling in a wagon, sitting on his own coffin. This very much captures the students' interest. As the story progresses, it does an excellent job of showing the conflict Brown faced, as he tried to provide for his family and fulfill his vow to end slavery. This is an essential tale that must be understood in order to understand how the Civil War came to be.
