My husband and I really enjoyed this video! I especially enjoyed the fact that it includes information about the women who have contributed to math and physics. We don't usually hear about them. We are circulating this DVD amongst our family and friends. Too good to sit on the shelf!

After watching it I only had one question. How did I miss this for six years?!! I am sure adults will like it but if you want kids (10+) to have that fire for science in general and physics in particular, this might provide a spark.

The best dramatic presentation of the core principles of the universe I have ever seen. Major breakthroughs were revealed in touching dramatic stories of the lives of the scientists, including the moment the first electric motor was demonstrated in the laboratory, and the moment scientist first realized that Einstein's most famous equation explains where the energy came from in the splitting of an atom into two lower mass atoms with less than the mass of the original atom. While viewing the video my non-technical friends started asking questions, for example ... How did they know that it [the flow of an electric current] affects a magnet? Practical knowledge is conveyed in the section on the squaring of numbers regarding the distance it takes to stop one's car when going 20 MPH versus 60 MPH. I am sending copies to my grown children.
