Comments about PBS American Experience: Race to the Moon DVD:
Apollo 8 was the first maned Apollo flight, several unmanned and maned missions were cancelled due the Russians put a scare into us. When in fact none of the Russian missions got off the ground. More important, Apollo 8 kept us on track to land on the moon by the end of the decade.
