Still a great adaptation of a great book

My daughter who is now grown and has children of her own watched this with me when she was entering her teens after reading the book. I bought the disc for her to show to her daughter who is now about the same age. But I couldn't help checking it out before passing it on. It remains a great story, transmuting Wilkie's words into visual effects that recreate the ghostly atmosphere of the novel. Really great adaptations [like great literature] can be seen years later without disappointing and with the added pleasure of nostalgia.
