Candide is a wonderfully funny operetta with Paul Groves, Patti LaPone, and the extremely talented Kristin Chenoweth. Kristin Chenoweth steals the show as Candide's love interest, Cunegonde. The number "Glitter And Be Gay" is priceless entertainment. Besides her obvious superior vocal talent Kristin also shows a natural comic timing. She does it all effortlessly. To watch her closely is to see a masterful performance. This is a must for anyone's video collection! This is a video you will want to see over and over again.

This production allows the real humor to seep through like honey dripping from a hive. But, the performances will keep you humming long past the length of the DVD. The cast is amazing but Kristin Chenoweth and Patti Lupone stop the show with their unique delivery of the classic tunes. Invest in this and watch it often!!! It is a joy!!
