Hard core science is effortlessly integrated with a light-hearted look at how plants behave. Scientist J.C. Cahill takes us on a journey into the "secret world of plants," revealing an astonishing landscape where plants eavesdrop on each other, talk to their allies, call in insect mercenaries and nurture their young. It is a world of pulsing activity, where plants communicate, co-operate and, sometimes, wage all-out war.

Comments about PBS NATURE: What Plants Talk About DVD:

I absolutely loved this program. I felt almost guilty for mowing my lawn after realizing that the fresh mowed lawn was the grasses way of screaming! I was totally amazed that even plants have a certain form of consciousness! I am buying the program just so I can watch it again!

Plant intelligence is discovered!

Comments about PBS NATURE: What Plants Talk About DVD:

This exceptional video uncovers the most amazing things about plants. During my studies of botany in college I began to realize that there was much more about plants than we realized. In jest, I would ask my vegetarian friends how they knew that the plants they were eating were not feeling pain. The video "What Plants Talk About" comes close to telling us. Just because humans do not have the intelligence to communicate with plants does not translate to plants not having some special kind of intelligence. Maybe one day we will understand.
