I gave this mug to a friend as a New Year's gift. 2014 was unduly challenging for her, but she kept calm and carried on and faces 2015 with optimism. She was especially delighted by the crown at the bottom of the cup. The mug has a solidity to it, and not just in its construction.

I purchased nine of these cups to give as Christmas stocking presents. I purchased the red one because it is porcelain and can be put in the microwave. The white one is enamel on metal and cannot be put in the microwave. It says in the "mailer" that "This mug symbolizes the unflappable British spirit during their greatest war." This cup is of very average quality and is made in China. What does that symbolize?

Each cup is put in a very thin sided box just the size of the cup. They threw my nine cups in a larger box with one sheet of wrapping paper as filler. One small box had a hole in it the size of a quarter. The cup, however, was not damaged. How can PBS put on such beautiful programming and be so clueless re merchandise? I am very disappointed.

Keep calm and focused with this Mug

By Gene Brody

from Phoenix, AZ

Comments about PBS Keep Calm and Carry On Porcelain Mug:

It is not only a very nice porcelain mug but a continual reminder to stay calm and focused. It is almost meditational and transcendent. Phrase was put forth to keep Brits calm while London was being bombed during WWII. Yes, that's about the strength of reminder I need for my life, too.

Comments about PBS Keep Calm and Carry On Porcelain Mug:

The description reads it originates in the U.S., but the mug itself and its accompanying product tag states it's Made in China. I was hoping to support a Made in America manufacturer as well as PBS. Otherwise it's a smart looking mug. Will avoid using in microwave.
