Comments about PBS Hermitage Masterpieces DVD 3PK:
Save the Air Fare to Russia and savor the beauty of the ages as collected by Russian leaders before they could be jailed for their misdeads. The Hermitage is a piece of art work in of itself; it's contents are breath taking and exquisite. This is a history of Monarchs gone mad for culture, and no expense was spared.
Comments about PBS Hermitage Masterpieces DVD 3PK:
This "Hermitage Masterpieces" DVD set is a marvelous up-close visit with over 300 masterpiece paintings--PLUS--a wonderful tour of the museum's vast sculpture collection, the decorative arts of Italy, France and England, and a stunning overview of the museum's majestic architecture!!! All of which, is expertly discussed with little-known fascinating stories.
It's an art lover's treat to see so many priceless art treasures so intimately, including those of Michaelangelo, Da Vinci, El Greco, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Monet, Manet, Renoir, Matisse and Picasso.
Comments about PBS Hermitage Masterpieces DVD 3PK:
This 8-hour long DVDs provides a succint overview of culture from different parts of the world. Since there are millions of exhibits displayed inside the Hermitage Museums, it will take months to see the main works of art. This may not be practical or possible for many. However, with this DVD, it will take you at your own pace and in your own home comfortably to navigate the musuems and appreciate the masterpieces with awe. Highly recommended.
Comments about PBS Hermitage Masterpieces DVD 3PK:
I saw a program on PBS several years ago about the Hermitage which I enjoyed immensely. I wanted to buy the DVD but it was more money than I thought I could afford, but I finally gave up and bought it. I must say, though, that I was disappointed. The one I got was almost completely about the masterpieces of art. I was more interested in the building, so I apparently got the wrong DVD.
