As others have mentioned, this REALLY should be required viewing be every citizen of the planet.

The title is a bit misleading as to what the show delves into. When I first came across it channel surfing, I thought it was a different program. A few minutes of watching, I was hooked but I'd come into it late. I searched for upcoming showings and couldn't find any that were HD but set one to record anyway. After watching that, I decided that it was well worth purchasing on Blu-ray.

This should be required viewing for ALL humans!

This is absolutely the best Nova production ever. It even bests "What Darwin Never Knew" which should also be required viewing.

"Earth From Space" will humble the viewer. It will make the viewer realize just how lucky we are as a species to be able to understand all that is revealed in "Earth From Space"; and that so knowing, we are obligated to make the right decisions and to take the proper actions to ensure the continued health of the earth system and all its lifeforms.

I am hopeful this Nova special and others like "What Darwin Never Knew" will finally knock "Man" off his pedestal! We as a species are just a very small piece of something much bigger and more precious than just ourselves!

There was not a mention of global climate change caused by man made CO2.

Nothing.

Also, the program proves that the earth's temperature is confined to a 2 degree C range due to the Antarctic current that is the source of this million year stability, in the past and in the future. For millions of years.

There is a lot of talk about the concepts of the "oneness" and "connectedness" of our universe, but I wonder whether they are not understood as abstractions or magical thinking by most people. This film depicts these concepts in a very practical way, yet capturing a startling beauty that is beyond the limits of our normal perception. This is science and technology interpreting reality in a way that is much more inspiring and fantastic than any science fiction or religion I have encountered.
