Thank you, Nova, and to the scientists whose work you reported in your program. This program echos the lesson that the many are one. Watching this, I saw the philosopophy of interconnectedness from Plato to Emerson (who would have flipped!). The graphics were examples where science meets arts, which is apporopraiate since this was a scientific lesson on interconnectedness. Scientific composite satellite images in the program (e.g. 46.29) correlate with the prophetics of art; for example, Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. If one does not watch and learn from this in the greater context of human creativity then the story and its lesson (s) is not as wonderfull and as fully realized as it can be. As a parent I will use this to teach my children; as a friend I will share this with my friends; as a student I will shares this with other students; and as a teacher I will share this with other teachers; I am sincerely grateful for your work. - David

While there's no doubt that the animated presentation may be breathtaking to most, I feel that it presents / implies far too many unsubstantiated assertions and lacks compelling facts. Specifically:
> It appears that neither the accuracy of the data presented, nor the validity of the computer models used are given.
> While the presentation appears to incorrectly imply that global warming / climate change is the result of human activities, it correctly states that people's pollution represents a clear and present danger to the entire planet. Please keep in mind that CO2 is not considered to be a toxic substance, and that its concentration in the air that every single human being exhales is about 100 times of the air we breathe in.

This is the best explanation of earth's amazing mysteries. It is difficult to view this DVD and not marvel at the powers that allow the earth to continue replenishing itself. Viewing the important data that has been collected as result of the orbiting satelites unlocks secrets that will amaze the viewer. This is a DVD to be owned and shared.

...every time I thought they had told the very most insightful, never considered truth about the earth, they came up with a new one. Ocean currents sustaining global temperatures, how lightning creates nitrates to sustain life, how plants and plankton release all the oxygen used by animals, why fires are important at the global scale, the protection of earth from solar winds by the magnetosphere, and more. The computer generated graphics brought raw data to life in readily understandable and visual interesting ways. Truly a masterpiece.

One of the best Nova film I've seen! I stopped buying DVD's because everything is available online nowadays, but I am definitaly buying this DVD, a beautiful beautiful film!!! I recommend everyone watch it.

Excellent show! It teaches with direct observations the way the different forces of nature interact and their importance to generate and sustain life. It clearly shows the impact of civilization in global warming and if it is not the only reason, it shows that has become one of the most important. It is foolish and ignonorant not to realize that. The most important aspect of Earth from Space is that allows the viewer to see how interconnected we are with the environment and our complete depedance of nature,
