An unbelievable and authentic rendition down to the authentic costume details like the Preobrashensky imperial guard uniforms Count Vronsky wears! The social life and times of Imperial Russia is rendered in a sumptuous feast for the eye. A true tribute to the Master Tolstoy!

Absolutely loved it! This film cuptured the passion between Anna and Count Vronsky exquisitely. I'm so happy to have added this DVD to my growing collection of PBS DVDs

I loved the movie, Anna Karenina so much. I was crying, and laughing along with it the enitre time. There wasn't a moment of confusion-- and the story flowed so irrevocably close to the book, that it made it a pleasure to watch. The actors were amazing! And I ecspecially found myself drawn to Count Vronsky and Anna Karenina's chemistry-- much like I did in the novel.
It was very well done. A+
