Fantastic story of how silicon valley came to be and the events leading to the creation of the integrated circuit and the semiconductor/microelectronics industry.

Clears any fuzziness about how American ingenuity tied technology, sales, politics, intelligence, education, and sheer drive together to turn this country into the technological leader of computer innovation. If you are unclear as to how all of that was born and grew, you will be blown away at how one thing led to another to create that magic. From simple beginnings evolved complex physics driven technology that changed the world as we know it. Shown in layman's terms as good as any well crafted prime time drama - only this is real. Opened up my thinking on how ingenuity and opportunity are waiting for someone to harness the next turning point for mankind. Blew me away.

This is fantastic video. Not only it tells the history but also explain why leaders think differently. Great Job PBS...you make a difference. Did not have the opportunity work under Bob, but Worked at Intel under Andy's leadership is something I am proud of, and learnings will always stay…

This production nails the silicon valley experience (at least the semiconductor part) perfectly and engagingly. It's technological story telling at its best.
