I'm addicted to the shows and could not stop watching it till I was at the end of season two. Not fair that the UK can order now and we have to wait til January. I would have loved it for Christmas. I quess it will be a great after christmas present.

I have just purchased the U.K. Edition of Downton Abbey offered by PBS. I loved watching this series on PBS and wanted to add them to my home library. However, after watching them at home I realize PBS has marketed a product that they do not deliver. Please be advised that you are not getting the complete seasons. Not all of the episodes are included and I found many of the high points in the series have been omitted from the DVD series. I am most definitely disappointed in the product I've received given my expectation of getting the entire series with all episodes included.

I have Seasons 1,2,3 UK edition. I had to force myself to stop watching them so that I can appreciate season 4! Love DA!

The UK version (that was shown first) cut out several scenes alluding to Matthew's death in the end. The PBS version has them (since by then, EVERYONE knew Matthew was killed). 1)Matthew tells Mary "don't ever look at someone dead, because that image will remain with you forever." 2) Ethel tells Isobel that "there's nothing worse than losing a child." Extra PBS scenes with Ivy wearing blush, servants dancing, a bizarre conversation between Carson and Mrs. Hughes over a village girl who will breast feed baby Sybil (yuck!)

I have all 3 DVD's. I simply loved Downton Abby! Very addicting!!! I am glad that I bought the series in DVD so I watch it over and over.

Above stairs, a world of wonder; splendor and opulence entice. Beneath stairs, a world of menial tasks and drudgery. Through all, images of caring and loss that unite to the characters. They are moving and one empathizes with their weaknesses and triumphs. They are old friends one longs to be with, family. A must see. I watched all 3 seasons again and again.
