call the midwife, is just one of many great shows that come from across the pond. Got hooked on "waking ned devine" I don't even bother with anything on reg. Tv in the US, just rubbish..the brits know how to do it...can't wait for more years to come. THANKS to all.

My husband and I love this series and came across it on PBS by accident. We didn't know anything about it and we were hooked right from the first episode. It is very interesting and quite believable. We absolutely love the characters and cannot get enough! Loved it so much bought it for my Mom and now she is hooked too!! Keep up the great work and I will getting season 2 but I am sure we will want more. This is never boring and so many interesting characters.

Great series and cast of characters; all so lovable and telling a story of a great time in the independence of women and improvements in medical care and mother/infant mortality. Please give us more like this!

I am watching the series but I am also buying the DVDs so my daughter, who is in nursing school, can watch them during her semester breaks. From scripting and casting to authenticity of the era and circumstances of poverty, this series is a delight and I feel abandoned when it's on break.

Watching from Oklahoma and I guess I just finished watching season 1. I wanted it to go on forever. I got hooked real fast. I do hope there are more series coming to us in the near future. I also like Dr Martin.
