This story emmulates the All-American experience. With everything against them, this team of owner, trainer, jockey and, of course, horse came out on top. This is truly an inspiring tale.

This is a great story of a great American hero who was in the right place at the right time. "Pops" was a hero in his time for a country badly in need of a hero. And in this day and age, he still has relavence as this country is in sad shape.

This horse and the people around him had great heart and determination to overcome whatever life threw at them.

The Seabiscuit story will make you laugh and cry and stand up anc cheer. An expereince we all can use.

After watching the Seabiscuit documentary, I was overwhelmed with the "heart" of horse and jockey, of whom neither had a wealth of potential to be winners in the field of horse racing.
I bought the DVD to send to my daughter, who may benefit from the motivation this film activates. The "never give up" message is always beneficial.

It is unusual to have a Hollywood movie AND a PBS documentary on the same subject, both of them outstanding. The American Experience version, with an abundance of period film footage, is impressive. It's two inspiring stories in one, of a remarkable horse, Seabiscuit, and a remarkable jockey, "Red" Pollard, both survivors in a punishing sport. Don't miss it.
